Matching Gifts & Tax Information
Make your contribution go further — and keep your records straight.
Does Your Employer Match Donations?
Many companies offer matching gift programs that double — or even triple — employee charitable contributions. If your employer participates, a gift to the GBA Scholarship Endowment could go significantly further at no additional cost to you.
Checking is simple. Contact your HR department or benefits administrator and ask whether your company matches donations to 501(c)(3) nonprofits. If they do, they'll provide a matching gift form or an online submission process. Submit it along with your GBA donation confirmation and we'll take care of the rest.
Tax Deductibility
The Goin' Band Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All membership dues and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
When you make a contribution, a payment confirmation is sent to your email address automatically. This serves as your official receipt for tax purposes. If you need a duplicate receipt or a formal acknowledgment letter, contact us at info@ttugba.org and we'll provide one promptly.
Please note that for membership plans, the IRS requires the fair market value of any tangible benefits received — such as store discounts or membership pins — to be subtracted from the total when calculating the deductible portion. We recommend consulting your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
